Date Founded: NBEA was initially organized in 1895 as the National
Commercial Teachers Association. The name changed a few times before the
association adopted its current name, National Business Education
Association. The Western Business Education Association (WBEA) was founded
in 1951, and the California Business Education Association (CBEA) was
founded in 1935.

Director
"The western region of the National Business
Education Association (WBEA), and California Business Education Association
(CBEA) invite you to attend the joint regional conference at the Fairmont
Hotel in Newport Beach, California, February 16-20, 2012. This major
regional conference comes to California every ten years and the WBEA and
CBEA have developed a dynamic program of speakers, breakout sessions, and
hands-on computer workshops, as well as exciting tours and additional
activities for networking."

Mission Statement
WBEA: Western Business Education Association, as an
affiliate of the National Business Education Association, seeks to share
educational experiences that will prepare individuals to excel as consumers,
workers, and citizens in our economic systems and understand the workings of
and opportunities to excel as they function in the competitive global
economy.
CBEA: The prime mission of CBEA is to recognize,
encourage, and promote excellence in business disciplines. Also, it is to
collaborate with other disciplines and other groups dedicated to this
mission.
