Naumberg Competition winner and
Philadelphia principal cellist Hai-
Ye Ni will be the featured guest
artist at a free master class and
performance presented by California
Summer Music on July 16th at 8pm at
Sonoma State University's Green
Music Center. The CSM event will
feature Ms. Ni working with talented
young cellists from around the
globe, as well as a performance by
Ms. Ni. The audience is inivited to
meet Ms. Ni and the performers at a
gala post-concert reception. Ms. Ni
was previously associate principal
cellist of the New York
Philharmonic, and has been awarded
an Avery Fisher Career Grant. She
has numerous solo recordings
available on the Naxos and Ondine
labels.
