Innovative classes taught by talented instructors with university degrees will improve your cultural competence and Spanish skills. Participants lodge with warm Mexican families in a humble, colorful neighborhood.

Join us this July for two or three weeks to visit a school, interview a teacher, cook Mexican recipes and strengthen your Spanish. Return to the US much more confident to interact with the recent immigrants in your area.

Marian the librarian suspects hes a con man, but she begins to trust him after seeing how hes given confidence to her shy younger brother. Soon, this Music Man has transformed the entire town, not only turning the bickering school board into a barbershop quartet, but himself into an honest man.

More than 600 young vocal artists
will convene in the East Bay for the
Golden Gate International Children's
and Youth Choral Festival July 8-14.
The young singers--who comprise 20
choirs from 12 countries on four
continents-will come together to
perform individually, compete and
sing in a 640-voice combined mega-
chorus in the course of a week of
public concerts and workshops in
venues throughout the Bay Area. The
week features daily free public
concerts & competitions culminating
in a Grand Finale Concert.

July 11 features a solo vocal
competition, two folk competition
concerts, & two spotlight concerts,
including one at Old First Church in
San Francisco.

San Francisco, CA - James M. Patell, Herbert Hoover Professor of
Public and Private Management at Stanford's
Graduate School of Business, will discuss lessons
learned in the development of Entrepreneurial
Design for Extreme Affordability, an
interdisciplinary project course taught at the
Stanford d-school in which graduate students
apply design, engineering and business skills to
create comprehensive solutions for challenges
faced by the world's poor. Now in its ninth year,
the course has partnered with 22 organizations
in 14 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Projects have ranged from irrigation systems to
solar-rechargeable lights to incubators for low
birth-weight infants.

Ridge/Lambert/Stickpin
Friday: Work Party
Saturday: Taylor Ridge
Sunday: Sherman Peak (13 mile Trail
will be an option for folks who want
to do something different)

Most rides will have easier/harder
options.
Campout at Jungle Hill Campground.
