Marian the librarian suspects hes a con man, but she begins to trust him after seeing how hes given confidence to her shy younger brother. Soon, this Music Man has transformed the entire town, not only turning the bickering school board into a barbershop quartet, but himself into an honest man.

Robert Moses' Kin announces The BY Series, a new performance series and choreographic commissioning project, which this year features Robert Moses' Kin dancing works by Moses and guest choreographers Molissa Fenley, Sidra Bell and Ramon Ramos Alayo. On the same program, the company will perform the world premiere of Robert Moses' "Scrubbing the Dog," exploring the renovation over time of historically racist iconography. Following RMK's successful spring season at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, The BY Series offers Bay Area audiences two more weeks to see Robert Moses' Kin.

The second weekend of the Festival takes place at two prominent San Francisco museums. The de Young Museum hosts an Artist Dialogue with dance maverick Carolena Nericcio on Saturday, June 9, at 2 p.m. The founder of a dance style called American Tribal Belly Dance, her works share her vision of women dancing together as one entity. The dialogue with Carolena will be followed by a performance with members of her dance company, FatChanceBellyDance. On Sunday, June 10 at 2 p.m., the Asian Art Museum hosts a special Festival performance in conjunction with a site-specific Sun K. Kwak artwork meditating on the spiritual and cosmological themes of the museum's "Phantoms of Asia" exhibit.
