The Healing Power of Rhythm & Sound
with Kokomon & Aeeshah Clottey
Kokomon is an interpreter of the indigenous African Ga-Adagme tribe’s wisdom, and Aeeshah is a community leader, social activist and facilitator. Together, they created “mindful drumming” which pairs the twin concepts of sound and rhythm in a unique way that helps us manage stress and emotional challenges, deepen communication, and promote healing connection to the heart. Kokomon and Aeeshah are the founders of the Attitudinal Healing Connection in Oakland, CA, whose mission is to eliminate violence and fear. They are the authors of Beyond Fear: Twelve Spiritual Steps to Racial Healing and Mindful Drumming.
