If you love to sing, weve got a place for you! Join the fun, the music, the friendship. Discover just how much fun a bunch of women can have with a song!

Start the New Year off right: beginning January 14th, the Bay Area Showcase Chorus will host a five week program for women of all ages who love to sing. No Experience Necessary!

Come, be our guest, learn more about a cappella, 4-part harmony and have the opportunity to learn and perform some of our chorus music. Bring a friend or two!

The singing lessons are free, however, there is a participation cost of $10 to offset cost of materials (handouts, learning CDs).

performing "Music of Her Time," a
celebration of contemporary music.

Huw Watkins' "Coruscation and
Reflection"; Krzysztof Penderecki's
Violin Sonata No. 2; Toshio
Hosokawa's "Vertical Time Study
III"; James MacMillan's "After the
Tryst"; and John Adams' "Road
Movies." Accompanying Midori will be
Charles Abramovic.

Along with the concert, Midori will
also host a daylong "Day of
Exploration" at the San Francisco
Conservatory of Music on Sunday,

lectures, master classes and

Livermore, CA - Concert pianist Daniel Glover will
perform a piano recital to benefit
the Valley Concert Chorale. Mr.
Glover, who is the accompanist for
the Valley Concert Chorale, is an
internationally known concert
pianist who has performed
extensively throughout the world.

Mr. Glover's program will feature
compositions by Chopin, Schumann and
Samuel Barber, in celebration of
their 200th and 100th birthdays in
2009. He will play Ballades and
Nocturnes by Chopin and Barber, as
well as Barber's Excursions.
Additional works include Schumann's
Kinderscenen (Scenes from Childhood)
and conclude with Brahms' most
virtuosic composition, Variations on
a Theme by Paganini.
